LG Nexus 6 Clues Could Drop On 17th May

The release date for the LG G3 might be May 17. This phone may be the base for the Nexus 6. A South Korean media source thinks this is so, and if it is so, then LG is already working on the handset. The LG G2 isn’t even a year old yet, and if the G3 comes out in May, it’ll beat the Samsung Galaxy S5!

LG’s last two handsets were the bases for the Google Nexus and Nexus 5, so it’s likely that the LG G3 will form the base for the Nexus 6.

LG might bring out the G3 early because the G2 didn’t sell all that well. The company will want to G3 to compete with the Galaxy S5, which is believed to offer similar specs. The LG G3 may well offer a 5” QHD 2K screen with a 2560×1440 resolution. It may also have a 16MP OIS camera and an octa-core processor.

Coming out in May will mean that the G3 arrives just a couple of months after the HTC one+, but this handset is only a slight step up from its predecessor. LG fans wonder if it might launch the LG G2 Pro, somewhere between the G2 and the G3, instead, but LG has already released its G Flex, which sports the curved display. If the LG G2 Pro does come out, it’ll probably do so at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It may impress us all with a 5.9” display – bigger than the one on the G Flex.
