When Google launches the Nexus 6 it will come with specs and features that are killers, if all the speculation over the last few weeks turns out to be true.
It is thought that Nexus will follow competitors such as HTC, Apple and Samsung, with HTC and Samsung having already shown off their handsets for this year said IBTimes.
Apple is rumoured to be overhauling the iPhone and when it arrives we could see it having a display of 4.7 inches.
Google will be feeling the pressure to deliver the Nexus 6 with enhancements over its predecessor. Along with an upscale to hardware it is thought that Google could enhance the design of the Nexus. These three changes could provide Android users with an even better experience.
It has been rumoured that we could see a port of the Chromecast TV dongle and this would allow live streaming of net based content to TVs so that owners could watch in full HD.
PC Advisor said that this would be a welcome addition to what was already a very impressive line-up of features for the Nexus 6.
LG and Motorola are two leading Android handset makers and they are launching smart watches that have stand along features. The idea behind this would be to have a watch that would be able to act as a remote for phones.
This is something that Samsung have done with the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
We don’t know if Google will offer an incremental update to KitKat 4.4.2 or if they will launch Android 4.5 by way of Lollipop or Lion. On the other hand Google could go with Android 5, which was said to have the name of Key Lime Pie.
We could see an announcement at the Google I/O this year in June along with the reveal of the new Nexus 6.
If so we could expect the handset to be on the shelves around September or October.
