HTC have confirmed that they will not reveal official update for the HTC One X and One X+ past Jelly Bean 4.2.2. This is bad news for those who own the devices when the manufacturer said through Twitter that the two devices are not going to get further updates.
This news means that the handsets are not going to get the update to KitKat 4.4. If owners want to put the latest OS on their handset they will have to rely on custom ROMs from independent developers. The news also means that the HTC One X and One X+ are not going to see the update to Jelly Bean 4.3.
This is going to be a letdown for those who have purchased either of the two handsets. It is thought that HTC will still offer minor release updates for the two devices.
