Every year, we witness the coming of a new Nexus phone. Google’s line of smartphones has often been a fan favourite since it is created by the same company that brought us the Android OS. Not only is the Nexus great but it is relatively much cheaper as well.
However, this year could be the last of the Nexus. That is unless Google picked another name for its flagship phones. This is evident just by the name Nexus. If there is to be a Nexus 6, than there would surely be a confusion with the line of tablets from Google known as the Nexus 7.
There are many ways to look at this. Google can release a Nexus 6 that is of course, with a 6 inch screen. Either way, the phone vendor will also have to venture to other names after that,
Another possibility is for Google to stop making a smartphone. With more smartphone developers opting for an OEM version of the Android, perhaps it is time for Google focus elsewhere. The collaboration with Motorola looks lively and it could be that the company would want to enhance the Android experience with them.
All in all, we will find out for sure on how Google will approach this. It could be part of their plan or it could be an error from their end?
