The price tag of the Google Nexus 7 2nd gen has dropped and this has sparked off rumours that Google may be about to launch the Nexus 10 2nd gen.
The 16GB Nexus 7 2nd gen has been on offer at Office Depot for $180 with a $20 gift card. There was a discount of $40 on the 32GB version of the Nexus 7 2.
On eBay the 16GB Nexus 7 2013 was priced at $210, while Amazon were offering it for $200 and up.
Originally the Nexus 7 2 was and it arrived with a display of 7 inches and 1200 x 1920 resolution. The tablet runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 with 2GB of RAM. On the back there is a camera of 5MP along with one of 1.2MP on its front. It offers support for NFC, wireless charging and Bluetooth 4.0.
Every year we see a drop in prices of tech around the holidays and so it isn’t unusual this time around. Another reason for a price drop is when a company is going to offer a new device. This led to rumours that Google may be about to reveal the Nexus 10 2.
A rumour pointed to the Nexus 10 2 arriving at the MWC this year.
The rumour pointed to the tablet arriving with a display of 10 inches and resolution of 2560 x 1600. It may have the Snapdragon 800 processor or possibly the Tegra 4. An 8MP camera has been suggested and of course it would run on the latest version of Android. At the moment this is KitKat 4.4.
Speculation is that the Google Nexus 10 2 may be offered in 16GB and 32GB versions.
