Samsung has been heavily linked to launching a brand new smartwatch that will look to revolutionize the wearable industry. Known as the Orbis, the device is said to run on the same Exynos processor that powers the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Of course, one might wonder on why a powerful processor is need for a smartwatch that is meant to run only light tasks. Well, the word is that the Exynos chip is not meant to boost the speed of the smartwatch but to give it longer battery life which will surpass the expectations of the masses.
Unfortunately, the initial unveiling of the Orbis at MWC failed to happen and this puts the ETA of the device back in the dark.
Now, a Samsung spokesperson revealed that they need about 6 month more to turn a product in development into a perfect device. While the lad failed to specify on which product he was referring to, there is no doubt it is the Orbis.
If so, then the Orbis will be coming in September. Probably, Samsung will be launching the Orbis at IFA 2015.
