With Valve having their hands full with the Steam Machines, Source 2 and the VR Headset, it seems like another decade of wait seems fitting for Half Life fans waiting for Half Life 3 to get produced.
This has brought up a small sector of the fans calling for Valve to send Half Life 3 for production through a third-party game developer. While such a method might be able to end the wait for Half Life 3, Valve won’t even apply it at all.
This is because of the prestige which the Half Life series hold. There is no denying the fact that the Half Life franchise is among the most popular gaming brands in history and there is no way for Valve to hand over their best product to other game developers for production.
If Half Life 3 is going to get produced, Valve is going to do it by themselves and nothing can change that. So when Half Life 3 arrives, players will see Valve’s logo popping up in the game’s main screen.
