Alarm bells have rung out as Verizon have treated customers to a price drop and now the Nexus 7 is available for just $49.99.

The 2013 version of the tablet arrived on the carrier on 13 Feb and the network is now offering it the Nexus 7 from $249.99 to $49 when it is taken with a two year contract. If you want to buy it without a contract you can expect to pay $349.

The Nexus 7 has been one of the most competitive tablets and is considered to be one of the best. The Google Nexus 10 2nd gen still hasn’t made an appearance despite rumours going around that it was coming our way.

Reports have suggested that the release date for the Nexus 10 2nd gen could be during the third quarter of the year and it could arrive packed with superb features, this could include Android 5 and the Intel 64 but processor.

At the moment we don’t have any idea as to who might be behind the Nexus tablet, we did hear that Samsung could make a comeback with a new 10 inch tablet.

If so then we could have got some hints from the recently released Samsung Galaxy S5 about possible features on the Nexus 10 2nd gen. It may include waterproofing, a fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor. However HTC along with ASUS have also been talked about as manufacturers.

We have heard rumours going around that the Google Nexus 10 2nd gen could include a display of 10.1 inches with resolution of 2560 x 1600 and this may have protection of Gorilla Glass. It could house the Snapdragon Qualcomm 800 processor at 2.3GHz or perhaps the Nvidia Tegra 4. It may also have 3GB of RAM and the Adreno 330 GPU.

When it comes to storage there could be 16GB and 32GB variations, the camera may be 8MP on the back and we could see a camera on the front of 2.1MP. the tablet will support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual side NFC and it could have a battery of 9500mAh.
