Rockstar has finally broken their silence on GTA 5 and it confirms that the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of the game will no longer get any support soon. Rockstar explained that this is because the older-gen consoles are reaching its technical limit so there is no way to add in any new contents.
As disappointing as this may sound, Rockstar assured players that they will still be launching a couple more DLCs before ending the support. The final DLC is teased to be the Heist DLC but Rockstar shared no word on the other DLC.
For a hacker that has been snooping around GTA 5’s source code, he believes that prior to the Heist DLC, there will be a Zombie DLC. The hacker revealed that he found a file called ‘main_ZMB’ in GTA 5’s source code and it appears to be a placeholder for a future DLC.
The hacker pointed out that the ZMB represents zombies. As such, there will be zombie-themed DLC coming to GTA 5. If so, then it wouldn’t be the first time Rockstar introduces a zombie-themed DLC in a game as they have already done so on Red Dead Redemption.
Of course, the game developer has yet to confirm on this but it would be interesting on how a zombie apocalypse will look like in the city of Los Santos.
