Volkswagen became the centre of a buzz earlier today when they launched the all-new Passat Limited Edition. The arrival of the car also saw the removal of two different Passat trim levels and amazingly, it is also cheaper.
Retailing at $23,995, the VW Passat Limited Edition is also offered with trim level packages for an additional fee of $1,555. This is despite of the fact that the extras are valued at $2,755.
Even with the smaller price tag, the Passat Limited Edition is still sophisticated as it comes with an intelligent key with push-button start, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear-view camera, heated leatherette seats with power controls on the driver’s side and a touchscreen radio with an eight-speaker stereo.
Under the hood, the Passat Limited Edition is still powered by the same 1.8L turbocharged four-cylinder that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. To complete the package, the Passat Limited Edition comes with an online configurator for the consumers to customize it further.
Clearly, this makes the Passat Limited Edition a winner in terms of sales. The average consumers is surely pleased with having a cheaper SE that adds KESSY and fog lights for a smaller fee.
