499KR actually applied this technique to pull traffic on their website. The Swedish online retailer added Half Life 3 to their inventory and even though it is merely a placeholder, the expected date of arrival is quoted to be on November this year.
Of course, 499KR failed to provide any form of evidence on how they got their information so it is safe to assume it as a hoax and nothing more to than a traffic puller. After all, the chances for 499KR to know more about Half Life 3 than those in North America are not logical at all.
