The Nexus 7 was launched last July and there has been a lot of talk about Google launching the Google Nexus 10 2. This would follow on from the Nexus 10, which was supposed to change how tablets work.
However despite the rumours about its arrival, it didn’t happen and now we are in March and Google are still selling the old Nexus 10 in the PlayStore. Rumours about a new tablet have all but died off and then just recently up pops another rumour, which sounds to be the most promising one yet.
We have heard that HTC could be behind the next tablet with the Nexus branding, this could come in the form of the Nexus 7 or the Nexus 10 2nd gen, even both. Rumours are now pointing to the Nexus tablet making its debut during Q3 of this year. 2014 is said to be the year when the Nexus brand comes to an end.
At the moment this is just another rumour of course, so a dose of salt is needed with it.
If it does turn out to be true we could see the Nexus 10 2nd gen have the nVidia Tegra 4 processor or maybe the Qualcomm 800 Snapdragon along with Adreno GPU 330 and 3GB of RAM. It should offer 32GB of internal storage, a camera of 8MP, a 2.1MP camera on the back and a battery of 9500mAh. The display could come in at 10.1 inches with resolution of 2560 x 1600 with 299ppi.
