Since the introduction of the Autopilot features by Tesla, the system has been upgraded a few times but most of them were OTA updates that are related to the software of the system but not this time.
Tesla has been working on upgrading the Autopilot system and this time, the new Autopilot 2.0 will be coming in with a few other mechanical upgrades. According to Electrek, Tesla drivers will be getting some additional radars around the vehicle and also some extra camera this time around.
It is believed that each corner will be fitted with a new radar while the front will be fitted with a triple camera system. The upgrade should helo achieve Level 3 autonomous driving.
We do not know when it will be released yet but we should be hearing about Tesla installing the new radar and camera first before the software update arrives.
