We won’t have to wait for Mazda to show off the Mazda 3 here to know how the 2017 model will look like since Mazda have already revealed the upgraded model in Japan not too long ago. The Mazda Axela, with is Mazda 3’s twin in Japan was unveiled and we all got to see some of the changes that Mazda will be offering on the 2017 model.
While most of the design feature will remain the same, some of the features like the grille, headlights as well as bumper will be upgraded. The 2017 model will also be fitted with a set of turning lights.
It was also revealed that the 2017 Mazda Axela will be coming in with a 1.5-liter Skyactiv-D diesel engine under the hood although that will not be the only option that Mazda will be offering.
Other engine options will include the 2.2-liter diesel engine as well as a 1.5 liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine. There is also talk about a Skyactiv Hybrid petrol-electric engine.
