Confusion between Minecraft and one of its players on the term “Trolling” has created a lot of buzz this week. The player, known as ZexyZek on his YouTube channel, is really popular for all his Minecraft videos.
ZexyZek boasts over 700,000 subscribers after starting a series called Minecraft Trolling. In the videos, ZexyZek is seen joining or starting servers to create a fool out of other players. This includes annoying other players, scaring them, destroying their creation and other creative ways of creating mayhem.
The lad was up high in the sky until he noticed a rule which disallowed his actions. ZexyZek immediately called Mojang and the game developer replied that trolling is not allowed in the game. Following that call, the YouTuber removed all his videos and uploaded a very emotional goodbye message.
The huge fan base was not happy with this and spammed Markus “Notch” Persson’s with complains. Notch was shocked to discover this and immediately gave out his response. It appears that the term “trolling” can really be misguiding. Due to the lack of explanation on the matter, Notch revealed that it was a mistake from Mojang’s support team and encouraged ZexyZek to continue his works.
Notch added that he will personally change the boring ruling text and replace the term trolling with other words. Notch doesn’t see anything wrong with ZexyZek actions. As long as nothing malicious is involved, it is fine with the game developer.
