DayZ Devs Get Helping Hand

The development team of DayZ is growing despite what may lie in the future for Rocket. In a blog recently from the development team of DayZ, they revealed that the amount of people working on the running of the simulator has increased greatly. It was said “We are inducting a large number of new people to the team, effectively doubling the whole project.”

So what might gamers expect in March? There will be more updates of course and these will have the focus on the survival of DayZ. It is thought that cooking will become a complex system and items that up to now have been useless should have a role to play. The developers took their inspiration from Project Zombieland and this is by no means such a bad thing. DayZ will have the potential to have all the great elements from individual zombie games and if these were all brought together it could make for a very impressive game.

Along with crafting it is thought that new animations will come into play and the team will be able to allocate resources into improving animation and motion capture. Most of the features heading our way have already been hinted at and made known, so the real question is when will they arrive and in what order will they come. March should be all about cooking and surviving, so perhaps June will be the month of driving along the coast. Patch 0.37 is due to make its way out on 5 March.
