Earlier this year, many Moto G users were worried that they won’t be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. This is due to the smartphone’s mid-tier specs and despite of it getting released last year.
Shortly after that, Motorola came out to address the rumours and confirmed that the Moto G will be getting a treat at the Lollipop in the near future. Now, it seems that the future mentioned is nearing after a leak revealed a Moto G running on the newer Android 5.1.
This latest firmware has already been tested by Google on the Android One smartphone in Indonesia and it has hence been passed to tech manufacturers worldwide. Now, Motorola is tweaking the Android 5.1 and the company is using the Moto G.
Of course, the Android 5.1 isn’t any different from the original Android 5.0 except for the fact that it is more stable to run. Also, some of the major bug issues are already fixed with the Android 5.1 Lollipop.
With the leak already creating a big buzz among Moto G users, it will only be a matter of time before Motorola launches the update to one of the bestselling smartphones from last year.
