The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is already available for most flagship devices from last year and applying it will introduce new looking, content-packed OS into your smartphone. Then again, if you are a Barclays Online Banking user and is equipped with the HTC One M8, you might want to stay away from the update temporarily.
Apparently, this is because the Barclays Online Banking application is unable to work on the HTC One M8 that is running on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Users of the One M8 with Lollipop on board claims that the Barclays app won’t load and it constantly closes when opened whereas those that are still on the KitKat don’t face any issue.
To make things worse, the problem is only for the Lollipop-powered HTC One M8. Other smartphone users on the Lollipop are experiencing no issues with the Barclays app.
It is unsure on what could be the cause of the problem but Barclays have already been notified of it via their Twitter support page. Also, Barclays are requesting users to call up their service hotline as that will raise a ticket for a fix to get produced. Unfortunately, the banking firm failed to share on a specific date for a fix to get released.
