It seems that Resident Evil 6 was the last straw for many gamers as they have grown tired of the action that has crept into the game instead of the horror. Capcom have been doing a superb job of killing off the franchise.
However Resident Evil 7 is being developed and gamers have been protesting, some say that they would like to see a remake of the first trilogy of the series.
One gamer said that today games need to be played for long hours. A trilogy squeezed into one game shouldn’t be too difficult due to this. It would please fans of the franchise for sure.
But some of the features of the second trilogy could make their way into the new game. For instance the upgrade system and weapons equip from Resident Evil 5 would go down well in a remake. The gameplay mechanics of Resident Evil 6 was good and this could make an appearance in the gameplay of the new game.
Then there is the VR headset which is highly anticipated from Sony. This would enhance the horror experience in the game for sure.
Some gamers have said that a remake wouldn’t do anything for the good of the franchise and gamers hope that Resident Evil 7 will be something superb.
