Over the past few months, the spotlight limelight has been on Bioware, Bethesda, Valve and Square Enix. Today, Gearbox Software has stolen the spotlight after making a crude statement about Borderlands 3.
For some time now, fans of the Borderlands franchise have been anticipating a third sequel. Gearbox Software’s president, Randy Pitchford, immediately killed the hype by announcing that Borderlands 3 is not in creation at the moment.
However, what attracted the millions of gamers is the way Randy announced it. The president quoted that he is not going to “mess” around with the fans like Valve does with Half Life 3. Of course, the word mess is a replacement for the profanity used.
Such a statement certainly touched the Half Life community. After all, they’ve been waiting for Half Life 3 for a decade now and Valve still left them in that same state. It is unsure if Valve would want to respond to this.
As for Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software revealed that they too have the interest to make the game. In spite of that, there is no blueprint yet. Until the planning is complete, the fans can relax on focus on their lives.
