Just when things are beginning to settle down for Respawn’s upcoming Titanfall, an ‘insider’ known as “Crazy Buttocks on a Train” (CBoat) had to create a stir. The lad is really popular in the gaming industry with an average track of rumours coming true.
However, the latest to come from CBoat has been more controversial than ever. The insider claimed that the 792p on the Titanfall beta game won’t sustain and will be dropped to 720p when it gets released. CBoat further revealed that the texture detail will be much like the alpha testing of Titanfall.
The statement from CBoat clearly impacted the gaming community. However, Respawn immediately went public and writes off the rumour, confirming that nothing has changed from the previous interview.
The game developer even got the backing of a highly successful insider, Pete “Famousmortimer” Dodd. In a series of Tweets, the lad claims that CBoat is wrong. It could be that CBoat wanted to do an account suicide or might be just a mistake at his end. However, Dodd eased the tensions by still referring to CBoat as a fun guy.
Resolutions aside, there is not much time to entertain such accusations and rumours. No matter which side you are on, these are still speculations and should be taken lightly. Come March, we will know for sure.
