The Jeep Renegade is considered as one of the best compact SUVs in history but it was heavily criticized when it first made its debut a couple of years ago. This is because of the fact that the Jeep Renegade was introduced in the overcrowded compact SUV segment and many are worried that it won’t fair well.
There isn’t a lot wrong with the Jeep Renegade as it comes with a spectacular design, comfortable interior and of course, a powerful engine. However, the odds are still against the Renegade just because it does not offer great fuel efficiency like segment leaders Nissan Juke and the Honda HR-V.
Instead, the Jeep Renegade came out with the carmaker’s sophisticated 4WD technology. Despite the gentler looks of the Renegade, the vehicle is a beast when on the dirt trails. The Renegade is basically the best compact SUV to climb on mountains, cross river streams and surf on sand dunes.
Apparently, the Renegade’s biggest strength is its biggest flaw. The vehicle is basically limited to the off-road enthusiasts and has little to offer to the general market. Then again, it is still too early to call the Renegade a failure. Only time will tell if the Renegade is a success or a failure.
