The heard rate sensor is to be used with the S Health app along with wearable devices. The Apple iPhone 5S only offers features which Apple believes users want. The iPhone has the fingerprint sensor for Touch ID and it comes with two flashes on the back. The Samsung Galaxy S5 offers double the amount of megapixels of the Apple iPhone, however megapixels are not everything.
The quality of the build between the iPhone 5S and the Samsung Galaxy S5 is something that will always be debated. The Apple iPhone is offered in aluminium and glass and it does offer a feel that is more luxurious. The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a feel like the Samsung Galaxy Note with faux leather.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will have Android 4.4.2 and KitKat shows just how far Android has come over the years. It will also have the latest Touchwiz.
iPhone owners have gotten used to IOS 7 as it has been out for quite some time and it provides a look that is flatter. The UI is bright and better looking than previous versions. iOS tends to get new apps first.
The Apple iPhone 5S will cost around $199 on contract for the basic with 16GB of internal storage. If you want to buy it off contract it will cost around $649. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is thought to be around the same.
Samsung have come up with some great features and this includes USB transfer over the 3.0 standard, capacitive back and multi-tasking buttons and of course SD card support. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has the cover for waterproofing, which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.
Which the best phone is will depend on what you want from a handset. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has numerous features that will be loved by those who prefer Android. It has a larger 5.1 inch display and TouchWiz which has been toned down. The iPhone 5S has the two tone flash and it offers the more premium build of the two. The choice between the two could come down to iOS or Android preference.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 may the superior of the two devices in many respects but Apple has not yet revealed the iPhone for this year. The Samsung Galaxy S5 may have the larger display, but Apple could compete in this area this year. While the Samsung Galaxy S5 does stand out, we will have to wait and see what Apple bring to the table later this year.
