The Honda Civic Type-R is the next big thing to come from the Japanese carmaker and the sports hatchback will be coming with a hefty price tag of £42,950 when released. This was confirmed by Honda UK through their Twitter post yesterday.
Now, fans of the Type-R badge are on overdrive as they can’t wait to see the racing Civic making its debut on the global scale. Then again, the fans are worried as they find the Type-R pretty expensive to own.
On the other hand, the numeric on the price tag are pretty well justified since the Civic Type-R is already crowned the world’s fastest Nurnbergring back when it is still in development. Furthermore, buyers will be entitled to a free track day pass with their purchase.
With all the above variables combined, there is no doubt that the Civic Type-R is worth its tag. Now that the price of the sports hatch is revealed, all that is left is for Honda to launch the vehicle.
