Late last year, Subaru launched the all-new WRX STI and it is truly a powerful sports sedan. To prove its power further, the WRX STI has found itself in a standing quarter mile race with the latest Porsche Cayman.
Both vehicles are clearly different from each other and it will be interesting to see which will come out on top. It is also worth considering that the WRX STI retails at $38,190, which is about half of the $70,160 price tag on the Cayman.
Furthermore, the WRX STI is powered by a 2.5L turbocharged F4 engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This allows it to generate 305hp and 290lb-fts of torque.
The Cayman, on the other hand, runs on the 2.7L F6 engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This generates 275hp and 213lb-ft of torque.
We have got the video of the race and it can be viewed above. Readers are heavily encouraged to watch the minute and a half long clip as every second has tons of excitement to offer. Also, there is a huge twist in the clip which you prepare for.
