About a month ago, Ford confirmed that they will be refreshing the Ranger pickup truck with an all-new facelift model and it will be making its debut later this year. We have already seen the teaser video on the upcoming Ford Ranger and now, spy shots of it have been leaked online.
The shots show the Ranger Facelift running some test on public roads at Thailand without any camouflage on. It is understood that the model in the images is the Ranger Wildtrak trim. In detail, the pickup truck flaunts all the styling seen on the Ranger’s teaser video. There is also a darkened front grille and bumper, roof bars and decals to complete the typical Wildtrak offering.
Of course, the spy shots failed to share on the interior of the Ford Ranger Wildtrak facelift but due to its close relationship with the latest Ford Everest, there is no doubt that the pickup truck will boast a similar interior layout that is completed with the SYNC 2 infotainment system.
Under the hood, the Ford Ranger Wildtrak will mimic the Everest by coming with two engine options. The first is a Duratorq TCDi 4-cylinder that develops 148hp and 375Nm of torque while the second is a 3.2L 5-cylinder turbodiesel that develops 197hp and 470Nm of torque.
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak will be operated with either the Getrag-designed MT82 six-speed manual transmission or the 6R80 six-speed automatic gearbox. Details on the price of the Ford Ranger Wildtrac facelift are still unknown to the masses.
