There has long been speculation about Ford thinking about offering a diesel powered Ford F-150 soon but no announcement was ever made. Well, you need announcement when you can see it for yourself right?
The Ford F-150 was spotted getting tested and besides giving us another looks at the front exterior design, the spies also manage to capture the emission calibration sticker on the test mule.
The sticker, JFC1-3,0-966 indicates that the test mule was running on a 3.0-liter engine. Although it does not state that it is a diesel, it is speculated that it is since 3.0-liter engines usually come running on a diesel.
Of course, we will still have to wait for Ford to announce it to know for sure but as of now, it does look like Diesel might be part of the Ford F-150 future.
It is also believed that the upgraded Ford F-150 will be arriving later this year which means it will come as a 2017 model and not a 2018 like some other had predicted.
