An automotive market data has confirmed that luxury vehicles are no longer limited to sedans, coupes and sports cars. In detail, the forecast on the popularity of cars that retails above the $50,000 mark saw a top ten list that is dominated by non-luxury brands.
In figures, 6 out of the 10 automotive companies do not belong to the luxury segment and four of them are actually pickup trucks. They are identified to be the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ram Pickup and also the Ford F-150.
The latter is the next big thing coming this year and it is confirmed to be a revolutionary vehicle. The F-150 looks set to become the first ever pickup truck to feature a full aluminium body and this will make it light. In conjunction to that, the F-150 will surely be better optimized for power and also more fuel economical.
In figures, the forecast read that the F-150 will sell 751,062 units when released and 189,776 of them will cost more than $50,000. This automatically put the F-150 at the top of the forecast list, far beyond the reach of the Ram Pickup and Mercedes Benz E-Class.
