Things have been very quiet about a release date for Dragon Age 3: inquisition but rumours have been going around that maybe we could see it in the fall of next year. For those who like RPGs this is great news as at the moment there are not any RPGs on the next gen consoles. Dragon Age 3: Inquisition would give fans the chance to see what could be possible on the Xbox One and the PS4.
The games series is known for being all inclusive when it comes to romance, with straight, gay and bisexual relationships being open to exploring. This time around the romance is not just going to be carnal and so it won’t be called tasteless or cheap.
“I think Mass Effect’s scenes were done really well and I think we will take Inquisition’s scenes in that direction,” Cinematic director Jonathon Perry told GamerZines . “You might have a nude character but they are framed in such a way that parts of them are in shadow, or having characters in various states of undress. We also want to focus not just on the sex itself, but also that this is the culmination of spending a lot of time with a character and getting to know them, and so we’re giving scenes a mature and tasteful treatment.”
GameFront mentioned that the dialogues in the game shown in a demo recently revealed the relationships of the members of the party and romance is to play a large part in the game. Mike Laidlaw the creative director talked about romance in Dragon Age 3: Inquisition being a part of the world as in the influence it has on it.
He said “Your interactions aren’t just, ‘Hello, I’m here by my tent waiting for you,’ but instead something that feels like an outgrowth of all your adventures together and the kind of things that you’ve been doing.”
So Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is going to be full of romance but what else might the game have when it comes out?
It has been said that the Qunari characters could be played. These are not fools that just lumber around, they have dignity and so it is going to be interesting to find out how they will interact with other races. Recently during an interview a rep of Bioware spoke about the gold of Dragon Age 3: Inquisition and said that the idea had been to create something bigger than just a single character.
“Dragon Age isn’t about any specific story, it’s about the world,” Bioware said. “It’s large-scale concerns, fate of nations kind of stuff.”
“Within the Keep, you’ll be able to customize a Dragon Age historical world state to your exact specifications. How did you modify your Warden and Hawke? Who were your companions? Who did you choose to romance? Who rose to power, and who fell in defeat? What legacy did you leave? Within the Keep, you’ll be able to customize as much or as little about the world of Thedas as you wish. Then you’ll be able to import your saved world state into DAI at the start of a new game,” executive producer Mark Darrah wrote in a blog post.
We have heard that there will be a system in the game to allow imports from previous games regardless of what console that saved game came from.
The game is under development on the Frostbite engine, which means that it should be one of the best looking games in the entire series.
