All the effort Chevrolet has put to upgrade the Chevrolet Volt seems to be working out for them. Not only did they gave it a new exterior design but the Chevrolet Volt is also better than the previous model in every way.
The 2016 Chevrolet Volt will be coming in with an electric engine that will deliver about 149hp 273lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a 1-speed direct drive and is said to offer about 53miles of electric range and 410miles of combined range.
All these upgrades and the slow progress of the Nissan Leaf means that the Volt will have no trouble taking the lead from the Nissan Leaf. There is no indication that a new Nissan Leaf is on its way, If that is the case, the Chevrolet Volt will definitely be holding on to the top spot for a little while longer.
