Despite all the diesel scandal that has been going on towards the end of last year, GM stuck to their plan and brought the diesel powered Chevrolet Colorado and the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD High Country.
The Chevrolet Colorado comes in with a 2.8-liter diesel engine that will be delivering about 181hp and will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission. Customers got to choose from two optional packages, the Midnight package or the Trail Boss package. The base Chevrolet Colorado Diesel will retail for $38,835.
The Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD High Country, on the other hand, will come with a 6.0 liter V8 engine. There is also the 6.6-liter V8 diesel engine option. The engine will be delivering about 360 to 397 hp and will retail for $53,740.
Whether or not GM will start offering more diesel powered trucks in the US will depend on how well these diesel powered models does here in the US.
