This might just be a one of thing or it could be a common issue but a 2016 Toyota Camry customers have reported on Reddit that the Camry he owns tends to indicate that the Fuel tank is empty even though he is sure it is not.
The owner reported that the Fuel Gauge on the 2016 Toyota Camry often gets stuck on E and that the Fuel Gauge will only display the correct Fuel level when he restarts the car a few times.
A few people commented that filling up the vehicle with bad gas might damage the float sensor on a long run and thus affected the fuel gauge. There might be a few other reasons why the fuel gauge is not responding properly but it seems like one way to make sure it is no the sensor is to use a multi-meter to measure the resistance value of the fuel level sensor.
Anyone else having the same problem?
