It is all about the electric powered vehicles now and with Volkswagen now announcing that they will be giving the Volkswagen e-Golf a bigger battery pack now, the e-Golf should be given more attention but before that happens, let’s see how the current model fare against the Nissan Leaf.
The Nissan Leaf comes in with an electric engine that will be delivering about 107hp and 187lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an auto transmission. According to Nissan, the Nissan Leaf will be offering about 84miles of range and will be returning an equivalent of 101mpg on the highway. The Nissan Leaf will also come with safety features like backup camera, ABS, tire pressure monitor and more.
The Volkswagen e-Golf will be powered by an electric engine that will be delivering about 115hp and 199lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a 1-speed direct drive transmission and is said to return an equivalent of 105mpg on the highway. The Volkswagen e-Golf will be coming in with safety features like dusk sensing headlights, turn signal mirrors, traction control and more.
The Nissan Leaf base model will retail for $29,010 while the Volkswagen e-Golf will retail for $30,135.
