We should be seeing the upgraded version of the Porsche Panamera soon but before that happens, let’s see how the current version fares when it goes up against models like the Tesla Model S.
The Porsche Panamera will be coming in with a 3.6 liter V6 engine that will be delivering about 310hp and 295lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed automated manual transmission and will be returning about 18mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway. The base model will come with safety features like DRL, emergency braking assist, traction control and more.
The Tesla Model S will come running on an electric engine that will be powered by a 70kW battery pack. The engine will be mated to an auto transmission and will be delivering about 382hp and 325lb ft of torque. The Model S will be able to offer about 230 of range. Safety features that will be included as standard are parking aid, backup camera, stability control, DRL and more.
The base Porsche Panamera will retail for $124,385 while the Tesla Model S will retail for $70,000.
