Subaru has been bombarded with criticism after it launches the latest WRX and WRX STi. The fans, in particular, were gutted to see both new vehicles having a design that totally differs from their respective concepts.
It is unsure on what could have caused Subaru to change the WRX design entirely. The new look is somewhat dull and lifeless.
Today, it seems that the nightmare looks set to continue for a long time. This is after Subaru’s Chief Designer, Mamoru Ishii revealed that the company plans to produce the next Impreza‘s design in a new direction that will excite the marketplace.
The lad added that there will be a wider lower section, more substantial stance and a taller, yet narrower roof. Furthermore, the next Imprezza will be built on Subaru’s new modular chassis architecture called the Subaru Global Platform. The chassis will be the basis of every Subaru model from 2016 onwards.
This is certainly something that the fans wouldn’t want to here. The Imprezza is probably the most popular vehicle from Subaru and seeing it designed like the WRX will frustrate the fans more. The Imprezza will be making its entry in 2016 and we can only hope for it to be better than the WRX.
