Bethesda is no different from other mega corporations in this capitalistic world. The company has one goal in mind and that is to make profits. This is why gamers that are anticipating Fallout 4 should tone down the hype as the game could end up as a huge disappointment.
The signs are already present back in Fallout 3. As great as the game is, there are many departments which have been lacklustre. To make things worse, the shortcomings in Fallout 3 are very obvious and this suggests that Bethesda is laid back and not passionate with their development.
In detail, all Bethesda has got to do is took the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and tweaked it into an FPS title. Furthermore, the plotline is not as explosive and the gaming mechanism are poorly created. The only reason to explain why Fallout 3 was a success is due to the franchise’s popularity.
As for Fallout 4, we fear that history might repeat itself. It wasn’t the case for Fallout New Vegas since the game was outsourced to another developer.
We are Fallout fans ourselves and can’t wait for Fallout 4 to arrive but on the other hand, we are prepared to be disappointed. Fallout fans should do too.
