Polaris is a car manufacturing company that is well-known for producing performance vehicles that blurs the lines between a car, go-kart, ATV and a motorcycle. The latest vehicle to come from Polaris is the Slingshot and it arrived with power as well as three wheels.
Unfortunately, the state of Texas couldn’t classify the Slingshot, thus banning it from its roads. Texas’ land transport authority wanted to register it as a motorcycle but the fact that the Slingshot does not come with a saddle seat prevented it for approval.
Polaris has already responded that they are seeking out a solution quickly and efficiently. The company is pretty shocked themselves since there are other three-wheeled vehicles that are legal in Texas already. They are identified to be the Campagna Motors T-Rex and Morgan Three-Wheeler.
Nevertheless, we believe a solution will surface soon. When it happens, citizens of Texas will get to experience the Slingshot’s 2.4L Ecotec 4-cylinder engine that generates 173hp and 166ft-lbs of torque.
