Those lucky few that got to play the close beta of the Overwatch game will know that the game also came with a ranked Competitive Play Mode. It was initially thought that the mode will also be there when he Open Beta of the game is release but it looks like it will not.
According to the developers, the open beta version of Overwatch will not come with the Competitive Play mode, in fact, he even added that the game will not come with the mode when it is released later this month.
So what happened to it? Jim Kaplan, the Director explained that the team wanted to rework the system to make it better and that is why they decided to pull out the mode for now.
He also added that the mode will most likely be released one month after the game Overwatch is release. The open beta will start on the 5th and will end on the 9th this month. The new Overwatch will be arriving on the 24th of May and will be released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
