It does feel like Takata can’t seem to find the answer for their faulty airbags. The airbag manufacturer has been recalling millions of airbags and but they still can’t seem to find the actual cause of that explosion.
It was later determined that the cause of the explosions is not just one component but a combination of problems. NHTSA pointed out that time, moisture and also the temperature was what cause the airbags to failed.
It was recently announced that Takata will be recalling more airbags. According to NHTSA, at least 35million airbags will be recalled in this latest expansion. The faulty airbag has been the cause of more than a few death and injuries.
Car owners that think that they might be affected by the recall can head to safercar.gov to see if their model is affected by the recall or not.
