Tesla cars are already known for going further than most electric powered models in the market and it looks like things will only be getting better from here. Tesla has not announced it yet but newly leaked details are suggesting that the Tesla Model S will be able to go a little further soon.
The information was leaked by the California Air Resources Board who posted on their website that Tesla is working in a new mid-range Tesla Model S. It was revealed that Tesla will be offering a new 75kWh battery.
It is believed that with the new battery, the Tesla Model S will be able to offer about 259miles of range, about 25miles more than the base model. While some thinks that the release of the new battery is so that the customers will have more option, others think that the 75kWh will end up being a replacement for the 70kWh powered model and that Tesla will slowly phase out the 70kWh model.
Soon after the information was leaked on the site, Tesla came out to confirm that the 75kWh battery is coming and that customers can start ordering it at the end of this week.
