Back in the 90s, Honda stamped its name in history as one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturer. The company took a big leap in the success field thanks to a wide variety of great, advanced and unique vehicles. This can be seen with the Honda Integra.
However, the Dark Age began some years ago and many blamed the Japanese carmaker for catering too much on the American trend. The Honda cars are simply boring lately and they are built for the sake of getting from point A to B, while putting in a touchscreen for consumers to brag about.
Well, these unfortunate times may soon come to an end after Honda teased that it will be recreating the Integra and the car will be part of the company’s MY2016 line-up. Also, Honda revealed that the next-gen Integra will be the cheaper alternative to the future NSX hybrid supercar.
This was confirmed by Acura’s chief designer, Dave Marek, who described the upcoming Integra as a sport car instead of a sports car. Dave admitted that this is something Honda has been lacking and the company has discovered of a powerful flagship vehicle to represent them.
Come 2016, it will surely be a nostalgic sight when the world witnesses the NSX hybrid and the Integra being launched together to rule the streets once again.
