We know that the 2016 Mazda CX-9 will be coming in with better fuel economy. The test result released by NRCan revealed that the Mazda CX-9 fuel economy should be 35% better now but how much better is that?
Well, according to Mazda, the Mazda CX-9 will be able to return about 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway with the front wheel drive system. With the all-wheel drive system, the Mazda CX-9 will be able to return about 21mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway which is about 32% more fuel efficient than the previous model.
The 2016 model will be powered by a 2.5 liter Skyactiv-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 250hp and 310lb ft of torque. Thanks to the new Skyactiv platform, the Mazda CX-9 is also lighter now.
We are expecting to see the 2016 Mazda CX-9 this summer.
