A total of 102,000 cars from Audi have been recalled due to an issue with the front air bags that fails to deploy in a crash. The models affected includes A4 and S4 cars from the 2013 through 2015 model years, plus the 2013 through 2015 Audi Allroad.
On the bright side of things, the recall does not require the removal of the old air bags. Instead, Audi will push out an update to fix the airbag control module that has been wrongly programmed.
Audi revealed that there is also a chance for the airbag to not inflate during a secondary impact. This can cause an injury or even, fatality to the driver and passengers. Of course, there has yet to be any cases of a mishap happening from the faulty airbag program.
