Back in 2013, Audi introduced the 5-cylinder RS Q3 sports car but it failed to make it big. Now, Audi is back to inform on a new RS Q3, which is going to be a tremendous improvement from its predecessor.
For starters, the 2.5L 5-cylinder engine generates 50 kW (340 hp) and 450 Nm (331.9 lb-ft) of torque. As a result of this boost in power, the RS Q3 can accelerate to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds. This is the exact same time as the GLA 45 AMG.
Fuel economy has also improved tremendously. The fuel consumption rate is revealed to be at 8.4L/100km, which is 5% better than before. This is made possible thanks to the new 7-speed S tronic gearbox which transfers the ponies to an update hydraulic multi-plate clutch.
Obviously, the RS Q3 is on the right road to headline the 2015 year. The car is tipped to arrive in Q1 next year and it will come with a base price of €56,600. Of course, there has yet to be word on whether the car will come to the United States.
