The recently released Chevrolet Colorado has been dominating the headlines worldwide as the mid-sized pickup truck offers the best fuel economy that comes together with a beautiful design and powerful performance in its segment.
Chevrolet revealed that they decided to tap on the mid-sized truck segment, even though has fallen out of favour among consumers. This is due to the fact that the price tag for the Colorado isn’t any different from the compact pickup trucks segment.
However, consumer’s feedback revealed a totally different story. In summary, consumers felt that the Colorado isn’t all that exciting. As a matter of fact, the Colorado isn’t a big improvement from the smaller Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. The irony to this is that both the Tacoma and Frontier were models from the 2005 year.
Now, the success of the Colorado is put in doubts. It might sell well but to see the Colorado as something revolutionary is a mistake.
