The Audi TT Roadster has finally step into production at the company’s facility in Hungary. The highly anticipated car is set to come with some new styling and a power fabric roof that can open and close in 10 seconds. Also, the robo-roof is operational as long as the car is not exceeding 50km/h.
Under the hood, the TT Roadster is offered with three different engine options. The first is a 2L TFSI which produces 230PS and 370Nm of torque. The second engine is a 2L TDI which generates 184PS and 380Nm of torque. The third and top of the line engine is revealed to be a turbocharged 2.0L TFSI 4-cylinder engine that develops 310PS and 380Nm of torque.
The latter also enables the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds and there is a top speed of 250km/h. Audi also teased that the TT Roadster will be available in the showrooms at the start of next year.
