Ford had just released the all-new Mustang and it is one of the best muscle cars in the world today. Aside from the exhilarating performance, the new Mustang is completed with all the latest safety technology features to comply with the new safety standards.
However, safety on the Mustang automatically becomes a controversy after one unit was reported to have crash and the airbags failed to deploy. The incident happened in Dallas, Texas and it provoked our curiosity on how the muscle car handles a crash.
The crashed Mustang is listed for auction and it is revealed that the front bumper and grille are now damaged. Also, the airbags are all intact since it did not deploy.
Some of our experts revealed that the crash isn’t powerful enough to force the airbags out. The magnitude of a crash will influence on the car’s safety behaviour, thus deciding if it requires to bring out the airbag.
On the other hand, it could be due to the seatbelt integration issue which has forced Ford to recall the Mustangs as it could lead to a malfunctioning air bag. Perhaps, it could be due to it. What do make of it?
