Audi Axe CVT Transmission Once & For All

German carmaker, Audi, has revealed that they will no longer rely on the continuously variable automatic transmission for their vehicles. In other words, Audi said that they have stop using Multitronic for their vehicle.

The company revealed that they have found something much better and it is a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The new gearbox is claimed to return better fuel economy than CVT.

On the bright side of things, consumers don’t have to suffer the unpleasant experience of the Multitronic gearbox. Looking back in the past, the transmission system is always problematic as the engine revs high and the gear ratio failed to catch up.

There was even that one time when Audi was forced to reimburse 64,000 owners that are suffering from the poorly made CVT transmission. As for the new transmission, we can expect it to launch on the all-new A4 next year.
