Pokebank: Pokemon X & Y Migration Mechanics Rubs Salt On Wounds

Players of Pokemon X & Y have been waiting for the release of PokeBank ever since X & Y was released and some are wondering if Nintendo are planning to ever release it again following the server crashes which brought it to a halt.

Some gamers have given up on hearing about a release date sometime soon but it seems that Nintendo have been working to resolve the problems and they do want to get the PokeBank running again, according to Serebiii.

The Pokemon site Serebii said “Nintendo posts another message about Pokemon Bank. Still resolving & testing issues and details will come as soon as possible,” Pokemon site Serebii said in a recent Twitter post.

While news is rather sketchy at the moment gamers have been able to see avatars and memes on YouTube from PokeBank as user DungeonRPG got PokeBank through the Japanese version of the Nintendo 3DS.

The user points out that the storage app is like others in Pokemon games such as Ruby & Sapphire.

The main features of the new PokeBank is that Nintendo designed it to allow more Pokemon to be stored. PokeBank for Pokemon X & Y can store 3,000 Pokemon.

DungeonRPG showed gamers how to migrate their Pokemon, taking them from one game and bringing them into another. He said that gamers should start by having all the Pokemon they wish to transfer in Box 1 and then the Pokemover can be used.

In the video it takes a couple of tries before getting through to the server but the process then moves quickly.

The majority of gamers have given praise for PokeBank as it is said to be region free, which allows gamers to use it with both the English and Japanese versions.
