It has been 4 long and agonizing years since Peugeot launched the last 508 and finally, the French carmaker has updated it with a brand new model. The latest 508 was launched last weekend and it comes with a design that is different from other Peugeot vehicles.
In detail, the 508 sports a stylish new grille that comes with chrome layers, the headlamps are more angular to make it look vicious and the car is completed with sharp lines running across the body.
Inside the 508, everything is refined with luxury in mind. Peugeot utilized premium materials for the seats and dashboard and equip the car with a highly sophisticated 7” touchscreen panel. The latter can be paired with Peugeot Connect Apps that allows the driver to view weather conditions or download songs via a special USB modem provided by Peugeot.
The 508 is also full of driving assist features. The list includes a reversing camera, blind spot sensors, hill park assist, keyless entry, ABS and many more.
The Peugeot 508 we studied runs on a diesel mil. To be specific, it is powered by a 2L Blue e-HDi turbocharged diesel motor that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This allows the 508 to generate 150hp.
On the other hand, consumers can opt for the ordinary 1.6L petrol engine that generates 165hp. This is 9hp more than the previous model. Despite the extra power, the new motor is also more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
